Belmont A win PGL Senior Cup

The Belmont Senior team won the PGL Cup on Wednesday 9th at Falls, beating Ballywalter 110-56.

It was a convincing victory following a similar margin the previous week in the semi-final versus Pickie

The result was never in doubt from very early on with Tony Budde's rink lead 17-1 at 10 ends with the other rinks close. Robin Horner's rink scord 15 shots without reply between the 10th and 15th ends to effectively kill off their game. While the other two games were close until the 16th end, both Chris Mulholland's and Roy Battersby's rinks pulled away to win by 9 shots each.

The is hoped to be a pre-cursor to a Cup double with the team reaching the final of the IBA Cup for the 4th year in a row.
