PG Triples 1st Rd

The first round of the triples were contested on Tuesday night, and things did not go very well for the Belmont representation.

At Belmont

Tony Budde's triple were fancied to beat Artie Rice from NICS however an excellent performance form the visitors resulted in a 29-9 win.

Damien Bintley's triple just missed out in a tight match against Jim Baker's men of Ballymena. The game finished 14-10 where there were 13 1's and a no score.

Ken Croy was very unlucky against Ken Megahey of Ewarts. At 12-12 on the final end, Croy drew to within a foot of the jack, which was 2 yards from the ditch and 2 feet from the edge of the rink, buit the Ewarts skip ran Croy's bowl into the ditch to send the visitors home happy.

Away from Belmont

Brian Higgins lost at Pickie

Davy Hamilton won at Ards

Ricky McCann lost at Hilden

Chris Mulholland won at Ballymena.

Overall not a good night for Belmont triples.
